Johanna T. Sanchez, Esq. is a native New Yorker of Ecuadorian and Peruvian descent and is fluent in Spanish. She joined the Law Office of Christopher Worth in February of 2021. Ms. Sanchez is admitted to practice in the courts of New York State and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. 

Ms. Sanchez attended East Hampton High School and graduated Cum Laude from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Certificate in Dispute and Resolution and a scholar of the Skadden Arps Honors Program in Legal Studies.  

She attended Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she participated in their Two-Year Accelerated program to obtain her Juris Doctorate and graduated Cum Laude in 2020.  While in law school, she was President of the Immigration Law Society and Vice President of the Latin American Law Students Association. Ms. Sanchez sought many opportunities to learn through hands-on experience. Ms.Sanchez was an extern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York, assisting attorneys in preparing for trials. She was also on Touro’s Law Review and published an article on the convenience of smart home devices and their impact on privacy rights. Ms. Sanchez helped many people who could not afford legal representation by participating in the Immigration Clinic, Advanced Bankruptcy Clinic, and Community Legal Services Clinic. She was nominated for the American College of Bankruptcy’s Distinguished Bankruptcy Law Students Program 2020 for the Second Circuit. She received The Shirley and Murray Rubinstein Clinician of the Year Award, the Special Service to the Public & Community Award, the Pro Bono Service Award, and the 2019 Eastern District of New York Justice Institute’s Moot Court Competition Award. 

Ms. Sanchez enjoys interacting with new people and continues to widen her horizons with new experiences.
